About the webinar 

In this PANCAP – PAHO Webinar presenters will highlight recommendations and strategies to ensure access, initiation, uninterrupted treatment and continuity of care for persons with chronic conditions living with HIV, as well as persons with noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) during COVID-19.

Presenters will discuss strategies to maintain essential services for people with chronic conditions and the importance of self-management. There will be an illustration of the Chronic Care Model as a person-centred approach that can be applied beyond NCD management to include People Living with HIV (PLHIV). This approach will be increasingly relevant as the prevalence of NCDs in PLHIV is expected to increase as populations age.
