Objective
This small grant is providing support to the Grantee to sensitize, educate, and support the Barbados Police Force (including new trainee from the Regional Police Training Centre) in understanding and addressing the barriers affecting the LGBT community unimpeded access to HIV treatment, care and support.
Activities
- Train law enforcement officers as trainers on LGBT rights and stigma and discrimination.
- Advocate for the LGBT rights and stigma and discrimination training to be included into law enforcement training programmes.
- Conduct a pre and post-assessment using mixed methodologies to determine the impact of the sensitisation and training activity.
