Summary
Twenty-five years after the establishment of PANCAP, the 2026-2030 CRSF reflects the collective recommitment of member states to the fight against HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and related diseases, including tuberculosis (TB) co-infection, which share the same mode of transmission, determinants and affected populations. Caribbean states remain resolute in a shared goal to build on steady improvements in treatment coverage, with UNAIDS estimates pointing to a 21% decline in new HIV infections since 2010, a 62% reduction in AIDS-related deaths, and the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV and Syphilis in 11 countries.
