About the webinar series
Sustaining the HIV response: information, tools and skills you can use
- A Webinar and Workshop Series
This mini-series of regional learning events is designed to address the practical needs of Caribbean ministries of health, civil society organizations, national AIDS programs, private commercial health care providers, and national AIDS coordinating committees as they manage a transition to a sustainable HIV response in the wake of reduced development partner funding. The series will feature regional and international experts and demonstrate how to use tools and techniques for:
• implementing sustainability strategies,
• engaging the private sector,
• civil society and private sector contracting,
• resource mobilization, and
• financial management, budgeting and planning.
The mini-series will be a forum for CSOs, private commercial health care providers, government representatives and development partners to share regional and global experiences and lessons learned.
Countries in the Caribbean have made great strides in combatting HIV and AIDS, and are weathering tremendous challenges to sustain those gains and accelerate the fight against HIV. As development partner funding reduces and funding priorities change, governments, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders are faced with multiple challenges in financing and managing their HIV responses. This mini-series is organized by the USAID Strengthening Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus project and PANCAP. It will address those challenges with practical strategies, tools, and techniques through an interactive webinar, web-based training and workshop.
