Dr. Moti Ramgopal is a Guyanese-American infectious disease physician, global HIV researcher, and Founder of Midway Immunology and Research Center and Midway Specialty Care Center. He is also a Professor of Medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine and serves as an HIV Consultant to the Turks and Caicos Islands Government Ministry of Health and Human Services.

With more than 27 years of experience, Dr. Ramgopal has led over 250 clinical trials and authored or co-authored more than 230 abstracts and peer-reviewed publications, contributing significantly to advances in HIV treatment and prevention worldwide. His expertise includes clinical research and the rapid implementation of innovative, long-acting therapies that expand access to cutting-edge treatments for underserved and diverse populations. In 2026, he was recognized by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) as a Conference Awardee for his contributions to innovation in health and clinical research.

Dr. Ramgopal earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, and his Infectious Diseases fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Originally from Guyana, Dr. Ramgopal founded a center in Georgetown and previously served as Medical Director of PEPFAR Guyana. His work continues to advance HIV research, education, and patient-centered care across Florida, Guyana, and the Caribbean.
