Message from the President of the PGA:

Dear PGA members, partners and friends,

Thanks to you and Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA)’s global network of 1,350+ legislators from 140 countries, our work together in 2018 has brought us closer to achieving our vision of a “rules-based international order for a more equitable, safe and democratic world.”

I invite you to read about PGA’s results in our recently published 2018 Annual Report.

We are excited to begin work in 2019 on a new three year strategic plan which builds on our 40 years of experience; incorporates results, innovations and lessons-learned; and includes the introduction of a new Global Parliamentary Campaign for Democratic Renewal and Human Rights. This new campaign will promote norms, regulations and best practices reinforcing and protecting civil and political democratic space; and protect the human rights of democracy activists, especially parliamentarians in opposition, women in politics, minorities and vulnerable groups.

With your continued support and action, we will accomplish even more in 2019!

Sincerely,

Ms. Margareta Cederfelt, MP (Sweden)
President of PGA
