The Trans-Caribbean HIV/AIDS Research Initiative (TCHARI) seeks to develop a cohesive HIV and AIDS research agenda that would address the special issues of the Caribbean HIV and AIDS epidemic and chart the future for HIV and AIDS research in the region. TCHARI has developed a Research Information Repository to highlight the similarities and differences of the people who inhabit the region, living in the reality of a multicultural Caribbean, united against HIV and AIDS. The objective of the Initiative is to address the unique and unmet HIV and AIDS research information needs of the Caribbean.

TCHARI, works in collaboration with research partners throughout the Caribbean in all language groups, and facilitates innovative and relevant collaborative studies at multiple sites across countries.
